Macedonia has a rich history of community outreach. Join us for any of these activities to share God’s love in a complex and everchanging world.
•Monthly Sunday lunch for our community neighbors
•Weekly food backpacks for school children in Smith Elementary and Turrentine Middle Schools
•Meals on Wheels deliveries one week/month
•Blessing Box for neighbors
•Prayer Shawl and Quilting ministries
•Habitat for Humanity – participate in ‘Unity Builds’ with other churches in Alamance County
•Boy, Cub and Girl Scout troops
•Red Cross blood drives twice a year (help host or donate blood)
•Participate in the CWS/Crop Walk to raise money to combat hunger
•Provide Christmas gifts for children in Foster Care in Alamance County
•The Young Musicians of Alamance use Macedonia facilities for week-day rehearsals, summer camps, and end-of-semester recitals. We help by providing lunches and other supports for this group who help kids learn to make music
•Volunteer at Allied Churches of Alamance County monthly to help prepare meals at Joe’s Diner
•Volunteer at the Women’s Resource Center’s major fundraiser: the Herb Festival
•Participate in ‘gleaning’ events through the Society of St. Andrew, and provide the fresh produce to Allied Churches
•Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with the annual ‘HESED’ spiritual retreat, as well as social events (bingo and dinner)
