If you aren't familiar with a Lutheran service, you can follow it easily with our printed bulletin. There are times when you will see members kneeling or making the sign of the cross. Don't feel like you have to do what the others are doing: sitting during prayers and confession is perfectly fine.
We celebrate Holy Communion each Sunday. God offers Christ to the world. The bread and wine become Christ's own presence. By God’s grace, we are recipients and also participants in this gift. By God’s gracious invitation, all are welcome at the table. If you need gluten free and/or non-alcoholic elements, they are also available. If you prefer, you may approach the pastor with your arms crossed on your chest, indicating you would like a blessing instead.
We are quite animated while "passing the peace" during our service. You may be greeted with "May the Lord be with you," and you may respond, "And also with you." If you prefer not to shake hands, a fist bump is fine or just a smile.
Families with young children are welcome for the service, but if you prefer, ask an usher to guide you to our church nursery for children 0-6.
During Advent and Lent, we usually offer Wednesday evening services, sometimes using the Holden Evening Prayer service. We welcome you to the service and to the meal we often serve before these services.
